ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Lia sees art in everything. Her jewelry design reflects that. In her paintings there are large bold shapes that swirl and flow. It is the same feeling in her jewelry.“I love hammering copper or aluminum and creating my own beads and links. It is truly then a unique piece.” Lia also uses a person’s “keepsakes” in her creative process. “We all have that little collection of earrings that have lost its mate, charms, or heirloom pieces that can be combined and can have new life when put together tastefully. I love that challenge!”
Lia is a native Mobilian. When she is not creating art, she is acting or narrating audio books and doing other voiceover projects in Fairhope with her creative husband, 6 beloved kitties, and sweet dog.
